Story behind the song
People claim that they want change, but they don't wanna do what it takes to get their freedom back. All people want is comfort and survival, which is why the world is not getting better. People who care so much about living comfortably and doing what they gotta do to survive are aware of how messed up the world is, yet they still choose to dwell in a cycle where they spend their lives working at these 9-to-5 jobs, putting up with typical people BS, and do everything else that they don't like doing in order to use the paycheck that they earned just for paying their bills and everything else they need and that's it, they can't use their money to buy whatever they want or do whatever they want because of their bills, and then they wanna complain about how miserable they are. They're not even doing anything to make their lives better, and it's all because they're too afraid to lose comfort. That type of mentality is called fear. Fear is the reason why people don't want change bad enough that they'd rather stay stuck in their own ways and just wait for something good to just happen to their lives than to make change happen. To be the change you want to see, you have to question, criticize, and refuse to accept how the world works.
