Story behind the song
This is a dark song because the job market is **** nowadays. I've been trying to find a job, but every time I complete my job applications, I either get no reply, I get rejected, or I get scammed by remote jobs that require me to lose money to get paid. Also, these jobs out there always wanna compete with each other, the employees are being treated like **** by their boss/manager/employer, the customers, and by the co-workers, and they hardly get paid enough to sustain themselves. That's why everybody is so miserable with their lives. Everybody is selling their soul, their time, their energy, and their overall-well-being for money. I just don't understand how people can live like this: Getting up early in the morning, brush their teeth, take a shower, get dressed, eat breakfast, go to work, spend 8+ hours of their lives working at a job they hate because they have to work for other people who doesn't give a damn about them, they have to do everything else they don't like doing, and put up with typical life bull**** just because they need to survive, they earn that check, go home, pay their bills, eat dinner, go to sleep, and then that's it. They keep repeating this cycle over and over again. I don't wanna live like this. Nobody should be living like this. And honestly, it's not just the world's fault, it's also people's fault that they're miserable with their lives and the world is the way it is because they are aware that they're gonna hate whatever job they chose for their own reasons, yet they still get trapped in that cycle, repeat it every single day, and complain about it. People even act like they want change, but instead, they'd rather stay stuck in their own ways and wait for **** to just fall out of the sky than to make change happen. Also, the world would've been so much healthier if everybody stopped valuing complexity and start prioritizing simplicity instead. People also need to prioritize quality over quantity because if they did, once again, the world would've been so much healthier. Jobs are supposed to make our lives meaningful, not miserable; jobs are supposed to care for our well-being, not force us to sacrifice our well-being; jobs are supposed to respect us, not pressure us with their unrealistic expectations.
